Åre: Rastplats Åre Björnänge: After a spot of shopping in Ostersund and a trip to the vets for Cesar ready to cross the border into Norway. Another free stop over just outside of town. Toilet emptying available. Once again great views Address: |
Nedre Nea: We crossed into our 6th country on this trip. No hassles at all, border post was quiet and the only way we could tell we were in a new country was the colour of the line in the middle of the road. Our spot for the night is next to a river and very peaceful. Services are available Address: |
Stjørdal: Kvithammer Rasteplass. A free rest area with services and a view over Trondheim bay. What more could you want. Services available in the usual Toilet Block Address: |
Høylandet: A nice quiet town with all the stuff you need just not motorhome servicing, ah well you can’t have everything. We have found a very peaceful picnic spot just out side town which will do for the night. Address: |
Korgen/Finneidfjord E6 Stopping on the old part of the E6 along with several other travellers and a trundle wagon. Great views of the Elsfjorden and space to walk Cesar so double bonus, just a shame about this rain Address: |
Rognan: Nerauran Rasteplass Our stopping place for the night. A peaceful rest area on the edge of town with a free motorhome service area. Address: |
Steigen: Parkplass Tømmerneset. Travelled much further than planned today. First stop was Bodø,. Didn’t think much to the place so moved further north. Finally settled on a small parking area just off the E6 near Steigen. At least the rain has stopped for a while. While you are here why not follow the trail down to the river and check out the Rock Art. Address: |
Foldvik: After a day of tunnels, bridges and a ferry we have landed on a peaceful little spot for the night next to a fjord. No services just a peaceful spot for the night Address: |
Oteren E6: Hatteng Rasteplass. We took a trip into Tromso today to see the Arctic Cathedral and have decided we don’t do big cities or at least Trundlebus doesn’t. So we chose to park up next to a fjord. All services available including hot, and I do mean hot, water. Address: |
Burfjord: Our little spot of heaven for the night. Again free service point shops close by and spectacular views. The official stopping place is across the road. Services are available at marker hut. Address: |
