| Oldernes: Oldernes Rastplats. After a very difficult and emotional day, we lost Cesar after a short illness, we discovered that the Arctic Race of Norway was holding a couple of stages in the area so we decided to find a spot if heaven for the weekend and watch the race passing. | Honningsvåg: Kobbholneset Parking. Our home for the night on the way up to Nordkapp and the top of Europe after a day of stunning scenery and tunnels under the sea. Services available. Watch out for the reindeer. Address: |

| Nordkapp: 71° 10′ 21″ Well we have made it to the end if the road. Suppose we had better turn south and see what else is out there. Expensive to get in but as its a once in a lifetime experience we thought it was worth it. Cost us 180 NOK each to enter. Address: |

| Alta: Latharistranda. A spot of boondocking with views of the Baltic and Alta Airport. Very peaceful spot. No services but they are available nearby Address: |

| Karasjok We have travelled across the Finnmarksvidda this afternoon. Sami settlements everywhere and reindeer corals as well. Once again stunning landscapes Parking area has services, shelters, cloud berries and Forest Guardians. Address: |

| Tankavaara: We crossed the border into Finland through the forests towards Inari, a small run down town that looks like it’s been neglected for some time. A spot of boondocking on the ‘gold road’ near the prospectors museum. There’s gold in them there hills apparently. Address: |

| Rovaniemi: A visit to see Santa, well its the law up here and as we were passing it would be rude not to. Crossed back over the Polar Circle as well. Services available at fuel station opposite the Village, look for yellow hydrant cover! Address: |

| Palojärvi: Palojärvi Reststop. Our stop over for the night with a view of the lake. Just been to Santa Claus Park, well you have to it’s the law up here and crossed the Polar Circle line again. Dry toilets available. Address: |

| Övertorneä: After crossing the Peace Bridge back into Sweden we stopped at Kattilakoski Reststop for a service, the river is the border between Sweden and Finland. Headed into town for a spot of shopping and lunch. Plus a quick wander around and a very interesting church. Address: |

| Porjus: Hapsasjaure Ställplats. Not quite our intended stopping place but it will have to do. The one in town felt a little exposed and the noise from the E45 was a tad intrusive for a Saturday night. Services are available at the Rastplats in town and no visit to Porjus would be complete without a visit to Björn’s Gift Shop Address: |
