Aubeterre sur Dronne:
Not moved far from St Vincent. Shopping in Riberac then headed over to the Aire for the weekend. It’s a bit of a building site at the moment but at least the borne is working and if we are lucky there might be a football match in this weekend. Aubterre has been officially listed as “One of the most beautiful villages in France” since 1993. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is also well known for its Church of Saint Jean, an underground, Monolithic Church.

Chateau Larcher:
Yup we decided to move out the way of storm Hugo and find somewhere that was open. I know we might be wimps but at least we are happy wimps that are able to charge everything up and dry off. Baker delivers each morning and fees are collected each evening.

Richelieu:
Back to see if the Cardinal is in and for a poke around his garden. Once again the services have been turned off. Must still be winter, ah well. Town is a short walk through the Wall with supermarket and numerous shops. Market held on square twice a week. Services are located outside the imaginatively named Camping Le Cardinal à Richelieu

Saint Philbert de Grand Lieu:
Our little spot of heaven until Friday. Trundlebus is having new tyres fitted on Thursday, hence the long lay over. Good job the services are working and there is a Super U next door for daily supplies.
