Vilafranca del Penedès: Well today we decided to do some site seeing around Barcelona. Managed to get lost, we must have taken a very wrong turn somewhere, and have ended up back at Vilafranca. Always thought Barcelona was over rated and never wanted to go anyway!!!! Still the sun is shining and it’s not snowing Address: |

Amposta: Restaurant l’Estany Casa de Fusta . Back to the salt flats and nature reserve for a couple of days RnR Address: |

Benagéber: A free Aire and services provided by the good people of the village of the same name. The drive up here past the Old Hydro Plant is spectacular and worth the trip alone. The village of Benagéber, which lies next to the old hamlet of Nieva, was built around 1950 with straight streets and whitewashed houses around a square, which houses the Town Hall, the Public School and the Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception, the latter an austere temple that was opened in 1954, very near the municipal swimming pool and sports centre. Address: |
Chinchilla de Montearagon: Yet another free Aire provided by the good Burgers, ¿are they burgers in Spain. Handy for visiting the local castle, church and other interesting touristy stuff. There is also a ceramic museum if that floats your boat.. Address: |
Baeza: Well after waking up to thick fog this morning we have settled in for the night in a small town called Baeza. The Aire is very urban, it’s tucked behind the bus station and in front of the sports hall (we know how to pick’em) At least it’s free and there is a supermarket next door so what more could we want. Services available. Address: |
La Calahorra: Not a bad backdrop for lunch eh, that is Sierra Nevada. Overnighting would be possible as is adjacent to fuel station and Restaurante Address: |
Carboneras: We have returned to El Rancho for the weekend. The sun is shining and washing will be done tomorrow, might even get the bike out again. Address: |
Archena: Back again to a peaceful spot in a quiet little town. Starting heading north Address: |
Chinchilla de Montearagon: We decided to return to this sleepy little town to explore the historical centre. Hopefully the flights of stairs won’t prove to be too much Address: |
