Palamós, Spain:
We decided that a proper campsite was called for over the Christmas period and we couldn’t have chosen better. Our fees include full service, WiFi and electric. The warden couldn’t be more helpful if she tried, a mind full of information and fluent in several languages. All in all its a great place and no doubt if the opportunity arose we would be back.
Supermarket less than 300m, beach is just over 1 kilometre with the usual bars and restaurants. Outdoor market down near the football stadium and an indoor one in town.

Tortosa:
A free Aire, just as well really as its under a road bridge. We decided to head south to try and get away from the wind, trees and signposts were brought down in the last Aire making it fun to weave a path out. Still it could be worse it could be snowing . Services are located in the left corner as you enter.

Amposta:
Right due to technical difficulties, poor Cesar was freaked out by the overhead road noise, we have moved. Wow is all I can say, we are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by flooded fields with big, and I mean big skys. The wind is still with us but from the looks of the sunset it’s going to be a good day tomorrow.

Simat de la Valldigna:
It’s been one of those days, couldn’t get into where we planned so have resorted to a free Aire away from the coast at Simat de la Valldigna surrouded by orange trees. A nice little town will see where we decide to go for the weekend over dinner. Services are located near Chickens and water is under cover in road

El Palomar:
10€ gets you a fully serviced pitch for the night, washing machine included. The site is rural, just on the outskirts of town, peaceful and relaxing. Just what we need for the weekend. There is a fiesta in town for new year so that’s going to be different if not fun. Access may be difficult for longer vehicles.

Amposta:
Due to circus tents beyond our control and me not particularly wanting a dead dog, local dogs were taking more than a passing interest in Cesar, we have retraced our tracks and returned to the nature reserve at Amposta for Hogmanay. It’s still a nice relaxed atmosphere and everybody is happy with their lot.
Happy new year from team Trundlebus

Teruel:
Spending the night in front of the Civil Guard headquarters in Teruel, think we might be safe here.
Teruel is a high-altitude town in the mountainous Aragon region of eastern Spain. It’s known for classic Mudéjar architecture, a style combining Gothic and Islamic elements. Examples include the Santa María de Mediavilla Cathedral, dating to the 12th century, which features an elaborately painted ceiling. The Torre de El Salvador, a 14th-century Mudéjar tower, has an intricate facade and stairs to the top.

Area de Finca-Caravana Yecla:
Wow what a place, on oasis of calm in the middle nowhere. An overlanders paradise. Frank greets you like long lost friends and hands over a small plate of tapas to thank you for turning up. The site is basic but the views more than make up for this. It’s the sort of place you will return to I can guarantee.
