Donzére:
After an interesting day we have landed at not an ideal location, at an Aire de Repose at Donzére at least its reasonable remote and off the main road. I suppose we should be grateful. Services are available.

Lugny:
After another mammoth driving day and very disappointing day, we did stop in Montélimar for Nougat, we have arrived at Lugny for the night. Tried 5 or 6 Aires sound the Lyon and Macon area to source water, they either didn’t exist, were closed for building projects or had been disconnected for the winter.
No services on site, they are available in the village near the post office, just endless views over the Chardonnay Vineyards

St Gengoux Le National:
A very pleasant Aire situated next to Voie Verte. A nice medieval town to boot and a disused railway station. So bonus all round if you ask me.
Services available, water 4€.

Corgirnon:
We have returned to one of our favourite hideaways. The Aire used to be surrounded by trees but they have cut a huge amount of the down and the area now has alight airy feel. The warden comes round for the fees and hand over a code for the shower block and tells you about the area and local commerce The site fees include services and electric.

Charmes:
A pleasant stop over by Moselle. Plenty of room to take the dug for a walk and within easy distance of the town. Entry fee, payable by CB, includes water and electric.
Lots of great walks along the river or up the steps to town.

Commercy:
Our little haven for the night, it’s a very nice relaxing Aire next to a velodrome and a canal. Nice walks for Cesar when the rain stops. On the way up to here we passed through Domremey, birth place of Jean D’Arc. Nice little cottage and very humble, well worth the visit if you are ever passing.
Services available, Aldi opposite site

Giffaumont Champaubert:
After a day wandering around Verdun we decided to head south rather than north. Ended up at an site near Giffaumont Champaubert. Pulled into the parking space and sank. FWD and rain isn’t a great combination, with the aide of a few friendly campers we managed to get back on the tarmac and headed for an alternative spot. The rain had also made this site impossible for us. Thankfully there was a boondocking spot not far away so we headed there. It’s still raining and doesn’t look good for tomorrow.
Walks around the lake.

St Julienne du Sault:
Not where we were heading but a good choice in the end. The weather forecast has dictated out change of plan, not z fan of snow and minus temperatures. Still it could be worse it could still be raining. Services available, supermarkets in town

Humblingy.
We decided to return to another site we visited 3 years ago. It’s not changed a bit. More frustration today trying to find a source of water. Looks like most of the taps are turned off over the winter months, they obviously don’t have a lot of visitors ah well it’s all part of the great adventure and adds to our growing list of where and where not to find resources.

Cuzion:
Isolated and quiet it says in the guidebook, well they ain’t wrong, the long drive down the rugged lane is well worth the effort. There is supposed to be a castle here but we can’t find it, ah well the hum of the hydro electric plant will keep us entertained. Lots of walks in the area for Cesar. No Services but we did manage to find water back at the Cycle Centre on the way in.
